The word Christmas comes from Christ. The birth of Jesus Christ!
Jesus, son of the Virgin Mary, was born in Bethlehem. When Jesus was born, the angels announced the coming of the Messiah, the one who would save people from sin. Many were those who came to worship the Child, among them three wise men who traveled for many days guided by a very shiny star. Melchior, Balthazar and Caspar presented Jesus with gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Christmas is celebrated by most Christians on December 25, and every year children ask Santa Claus to bring them their favorite gifts.
Jesus was the greatest gift that God has given us!
